Internet Secure Payment
Processor MiraPay takes reasonable efforts
to ensure that both the Consumer and Merchant can securely use MiraPay.
Customers can feel confident entering their credit card number on MiraPay’s
secure encrypted site because the Merchant never sees the credit card number. Merchants are also protected because they
do not have to store credit card information in their databases. Email Each time a transaction is
processed through MiraPay, either an additional charge or a return, an email is
sent out to the customer informing them that a transaction was put through on
the credit card they used for the original purchase. Due to the nature of the
Internet, MiraPay can only send the email out to the intended recipient. MiraPay cannot be held responsible if the
recipient does not receive the email. MiraPay only uses the email
addresses they receive to send out receipts for the transaction. MiraPay does not supply email addresses to
any third party and will not send out unsolicited emails (other than as part
of our customer satisfaction procedures). 128-Bit
Encryption MiraPay uses industry standard
security features. For this reason,
MiraPay requires that all Consumers who would like to purchase items from a
Merchant who uses MiraPay to process the transaction have a browser with
128-bit encryption. 128-Bit
encryption is a standard feature with all of the latest browsers and can be
downloaded for free for most browsers. Cookies Consumers need to ensure that
Cookies are enabled while they are processing transactions through
MiraPay. MiraPay only stores
information in the cookie that is relevant to the transaction that is taking
place. Responsibilities MiraPay does not endorse or
guarantee any goods or services available on the Merchant’s web site. MiraPay is also not responsible for a
Merchant’s web site or any links that can be accessed from a Merchant’s
site. It is your responsibility as
the Consumer to research the websites that you would like to purchase goods
or services from and the links that are available from those sites. MiraPay is only the transaction
processor. As such, MiraPay is not
liable for any disputes that occur between the Merchant and the
Cardholder. Any Consumer requests to
process a refund for a transaction have to be directed to the Merchant. MiraPay will not process a Consumer refund
without the consent of the Merchant. In conclusion, MiraPay is not
liable for any breakdown in communication between the use of the Merchant’s
website and MiraPay and any damages that occur from using either site. |
